Island Interiors & Upholstery is a family-owned business originally started in 1970. When I took the reigns over in 1985, I was extremely lucky to have a wonderfully established business with a great reputation and a team of talented workers to help me launch my own vision on how Island Interiors should continue.

My favorite proverb is "just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly." Interior decorating is pretty much that way. As I take a project step by step I see it evolve into a beautiful creative space. I believe in my ability to see beyond the basic to help envision the end result.

I also truly believe that it is my passion for fabric and design that resonates with my clients. It thoroughly comforts me to connect with them and I actually get inspired by them. My philosophy is pretty much the same as when this business opened its doors back in the '70's... to provide complete customer satisfaction. It is extremely gratifying to me when I am out and about that I'll run into a client and they'll tell me a story about a project that we did for them and how happy it made them feel. I am proud to say that we are celebrating our 44th year!
